SLEEP ISN’T THE ONLY FORM OF REST

🪷 DID YOU KNOW THAT SLEEP ISN’T THE ONLY FORM OF REST?

We all know the importance of sleep, and the benefits it provides our bodies, but one of the symptoms many women suffer through the menopause, is disturbed sleep and broken sleep patterns.

But there other ways you can rest your mind and your body

Here are the various ways I suggest my clients can find rest and recuperation in addition to sleep

🥰 SOCIAL REST: focus on relationships that nourish you and fill you with positivity. Reduce contact with people that bring negative energy in to your life where possible.

💡SENSORY REST: reduce screens, blue lights and introduce more natural darkness and clean, well aired spaces and enjoy some quiet time.

💭 MENTAL REST: silence, meditation, journalling, pausing, breathing.

😔 EMOTIONAL REST: change your surroundings, participate in activities that enhance your mood, reconnect with nature and loved ones

🎨 CREATIVE REST: playing with clay, painting, drawing, dancing, singing

🪽 SPIRITUAL REST: connection, gratitude, meditation, prayer

💤 PHYSICAL REST: being still, sleeping, Breath work, meditation, massage

Rest doesn’t always have to be in the form of sleep.

Our brains have various ways of switching off and resting.

So the next time you’re feeling drained, fatigued or overwhelmed, try one of these resets and see how much it improves your mood and your energy levels
