🪷 MINDFUL EATING…
What it is and how to practice it!
Mindful eating is a meditation practice which encourages you to pay more focused attention to your food, with every mouthful and every moment; the taste, the sensual awareness, the enjoyment, the benefits and the over all experience of the food as we eat it.
For some people, this practice is nothing more than for enjoyment purposes, to allow them to truly indulge themselves in the whole experience of their food and meal.
But mindful eating (also known as intuitive eating) can also benefit you in other ways including weight loss and supporting stomach disorders and digestive complaints and this is done by teaching you methods to slow down and being totally engaged while you are eating.
By observing your food, how it makes you feel and identifying the range of signals your body sends you regarding satisfaction taste, texture, quantity and fullness, you become more able to digest your food more effectively and efficiently.
