Let’s talk Symptoms

If you were asked how many menopausal symptoms there are, most women will say 5,10 possibly even 15!

But in truth, there are many more, some of which, you may not even associate with the menopause or have heard of.

I believe knowledge is key and by equipping ourselves with a better understanding of what our body is going through during this phase

of womanhood, we become better able to deal with our changing bodies…and yes, there’s a huge list of symptoms, Mother a nature really wasn't on our sides this time ladies!

As with all menopause related symptoms, do not suffer in silence. Seek advice and support from your GP, Menopause Practitioner or health care specialist.

Some symptoms may be an indication that you could have an underlying or more serious health condition, so don't automatically put all pains, aches and feelings you have down to the menopause, be sure to seek help and gain a prognosis from a professional to cancel out the possibility of something more serious.

Every woman experiences a different range of menopausal symptoms, at varying degrees of intensity, which is why I always advise my patients to speak to a professional rather than a friend or relative regarding symptoms.

Although it is good to share experiences with other women, as knowledge shared is knoweledge grown, but what may be the answer or cure for one woman, may not be the right one for you.

Some women breeze through the menopause with few or no symptoms, while others experience every possible emotional, physical and cognitive responce to the changing hormones in their bodies. This could be due to general health and well being, what you have going on in your life such as increased work or family related stresses, medication or even simple hereditary reasons.

The range of symptoms experienced through the menopause journey is astonishing and frightening but with some very simple changes to nutrition and daily lifestyles, many of these symptoms can be alleviated or in some

cases .

HRT and/or alternative holistic therapies can help reduce or cure some symptoms completely, and I will be covering these topics in forth coming videos and blogs

There is a wide range of alternative therapies available, some which you may not

have considered or heard of. Combining other therapies with complementary

treatments or using them in isolation can also help to manage symptoms as well as

overall health and well being

The symptoms that my patients and clients experience in the short- medium- and long-term

as a result of menopause, can vary in severity and breadth.

While some individuals barely notice changes from day-to-day, others are inundated with every symptom, but please, do not suffer in silence, if you would like to speak to me reagidinf your symptoms and how I can help, please get in touch via ny websites contact page
