Oestrogen is the most commonly prescribed HRT treatment and is only available on prescription.
It is available in tablet form that you take orally, patches, gels or sprays that you apply directly on to your skin.
Today, I’m sharing my top tips on applying the Oestrogen Gel HRT treatment
Oestrogel contains 17 beta ostradiol, which is the main form of oestrogen hormone in our bodies and is a synthetic version of oestrogen.
Applied directly to the skin, it is delivered directly in to the bloodstream.
There is no risks associated with the use of Oestrogel relating to blood clots and women with a history of hormone linked migraines should be able to use this product without the increased risk of reaction.
One of my patients uses the lid of her gel as an applicator which means she doesn't apply with her hands and wastes less gel!
Please follow the advice of your GP, health provider and follow the instructions as shown on your HRT product
The advice in this post is not intended to replace any advice given by your GP or health provider. Please seek medical advice if you have any concerns or adverse reactions to any prescriptive products
