Menopausal women are the fastest growing demographic in the work place and with 3 in 4 women experiencing symptoms associated with the menopause, the necessity to support them is becoming more and more important. A positive working environment not only provides an income, but in addition, it provides improved self esteem, a sense of worth and identity.  


Recent studies show that 1 in 10 women will leave their jobs due to being affected by menopausal symptoms. A further study in the US showed that nearly 78% of women claimed menopausal symptoms had changed or affected their lives and 64% of them were totally unprepared for this phase.

There are a multitude of symptoms and these can affect a woman’s ability to perform their job in a range of ways.

It is now more important than ever to ensure that organisations have effective and definitive menopause policies in place and a higher level of understanding to ensure menopausal employees are supported and understood.

WHAT IS A MENOPAUSE CHAMPION FOR THE WORKPLACE?

Menopause champions are designated members of staff that have been trained to provide the right support at a higher level to any members of staff that may need it.

This could be a wide range of your staff, from those going through menopause or approaching the menopause or even for those with worries or concerns for other members of staff who are suffering with problems associated with the menopause.


By training selected members of staff to become Menopause Champions, you are further supporting your work force, reducing staff absences, fostering an inclusive and more positive working environment and allowing your staff to feel understood and supported in their roles.


My 2 & 3 hour training seminars are for men and women and include a wide range of skills and tools that can be implemented in the work place to ensure your staff are fully supported, that your business is compliant with current UK laws regarding the menopause and strategies are in place to support your workforce.
